The inlay opal used in this collection of swap tops is classified as “created” from a process known as “crystal seeding”. Gem colored seeded opal crystals are laboratory grown for up to 18 months to acquire true gem quality bio-luminescence. The resulting seeded opal is actually more colorful and durable than a natural opal.
